Superprod Unveils ‘Impact’ Corporate Responsibility Policy

The Superprod Group has announced the launch of Superprod Impact: the content producer’s new 360-degree Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. This ambitious initiative aims at strengthening its commitment to eco-responsibility (measuring and reducing carbon footprint), to employee well-being, to the French animation ecosystem, and to the continuous improvement of its CSR objectives while involving all of its employees.

The new CSR policy is based on four main pillars, including sub-themes and specific overarching objectives. More than 120 concrete actions support these main pillars, with a three-year implementation timeline, dedicated leaders, contributors, allocated budgets and tracking indicators to ensure the success of this initiative. These actions are supported by the France 2030 investment scheme, the support of which was awarded to Superprod Group and other leading companies of the sector.

Included in these actions are the training of all employees in preventing gender-based violence and discrimination, bi-annual surveys on the quality of work life, as well as concrete measures aimed at continuously enhancing team engagement and mobilization.

The Four Pillars of Superprod Impact:

  • Eco-Responsibility Pillar – Measuring and Reducing Carbon Footprint: Superprod is actively working on measuring and reducing our carbon footprint and promoting eco responsible practices at all levels of our organization.
    • Carbon Assessment: CTO Christophe Archambault played a pivotal role within the Scientific College of AnimFrance, which recently developed an advanced calculation tool dedicated to the animation industry, known as the “Carbulator.” Thanks to this instrument, Superprod is now better equipped to understand the components of its carbon footprint, assess the impact of our decisions, and outline a precise strategy for reducing our  environmental impact.
  • Social and Quality of Life at Work Pillar: This pillar aims to enhance employee satisfaction by creating positive working conditions, fostering a supportive collaborative environment and strengthening diversity and inclusion. Superprod has a bi-annual workplace quality of life barometer that allows employees to anonymously express their experiences within the studios and make suggestions.
  • Ecosystems Pillar: This pillar aims to enrich the animation ecosystem in France by strengthening Superprod’s local presence and engagement in the sector. For example, the Group will provide support to Magelis Solidarité, an organization that assists scholarship students from schools of image and animation.
  • Management and Sharing Pillar: This Pillar contributes to the continuous improvement of Superprod’s CSR objectives and better engagement of its employees.  The Group have established a monthly meeting with our employees to present its actions on each theme and gather their suggestions.

Superprod Impact was developed in collaboration with experts and advisors, including the specialized consulting firm “Des Enjeux et des Hommes,” and was led by a multidisciplinary steering committee composed of key members of the executive team, including Virginie Créance, Deputy General Manager; Nicolas Gressent, Director of Human Resources; Sophie Spilliaert, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer; Maïté Besson, Studio Manager in Angoulême; Christophe Archambault, Chief Technical Officer; Ellen Payen, Head of General Services; Christelle Priméon from 440Hz; as well as co-founders Jérémie Fajner and Clément Calvet.

“At Superprod, we wanted a pragmatic CSR approach that is based on concrete actions and aims for significant and identifiable improvements,” said Créance. “These actions, over the course of the three-year plan, will continuously evolve to remain sincere and realistic. Above all, we aim to engage and involve our employees, making them the natural driving force behind this policy, with their efforts supported by those of the company.”
