Trailer: ‘Hamster & Gretel’ S2 Saves the Day in September

Disney Branded Television’s animated superhero comedy Hamster & Gretel, created by Dan Povenmire (Phineas and Ferb) returns for Season 2 on Saturday, September 14, at 10 a.m. EDT, with two episodes weekly. The first eight episodes will be available on Disney+ on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Alongside the premiere date announcement, the official trailer for the second season was released today (watch it below).

Synopsis: Kevin and his sister Gretel and her superpowered hamster return to protect their city with their newly granted superpowers by aliens. After protecting their city from local villains in the first season, their adventures take a dramatic turn in a new season of Hamster & Gretel. This time, they will face a global extraterrestrial threat while juggling school, crushes, and local villains.

Guest stars for S2 include Seth Green as Footkicker; Ming-Na Wen as Dr. Hawthorne; Alfred Molina as Big Bad; Amy Sedaris as Hiromi’s mom, Juni Tanaka; Joel “The Kid Mero” Martinez as Luis Demo; and Tim Robinson as Ziggy.

The series cast includes Meli Povenmire as Gretel; Michael Cimino as Kevin; Beck Bennett as Hamster; Matt Jones as Dave, Gretel and Kevin’s dad; Carolina Ravassa as Carolina, Gretel and Kevin’s mom; and Joey King as Fred.

Additional cast includes Priah Ferguson as Bailey; Liza Koshy as Veronica Hill; Hiromi Dames as Hiromi; Brock Powell as Lyle, a.k.a. Fist Puncher; Alyson Stoner as Lauren, a.k.a. Destructress; Akintoye as Anthony; and Pamela Adlon as Nordle.

From Disney Branded Television, Hamster & Gretel is produced by Disney Television Animation. The creative team includes creator and executive producer Dan Povenmire (of the Emmy Award-winning global hit series Phineas and Ferb), co-executive producer and story editor Joanna Hausmann (Bill Nye Saves the World), co-executive producer and supervising director Bob Bowen (Phineas and Ferb The Movie) and story editor Alex Estrada.

The first episode of Hamster & Gretel will be available on Disney Channel YouTube on Sept. 14, with exclusive clips premiering every Tuesday.
