Toho Drops English Dub Trailer for ‘My Hero Academia: You’re Next’

The next era of superheroes is nigh as Toho International prepares to release My Hero Academia: You’re Next in North American theaters on October 11. The official English-language dubbed trailer debuted today for this fourth My Hero Academia film, which is produced by Japan’s BONES studio.

Set after the conclusion of My Hero Academia Season 6 and right before the final battle between heroes and villains, My Hero Academia: You’re Next sees Deku and his friends face a new threat — a mysterious figure calling himself Dark Might and claiming to be the new Symbol of Peace.

The film released in Japan earlier on August 2 to box office success and positive audience reviews, beginning its theatrical run just before the final chapter of the My Hero Academia manga was released. My Hero Academia: You’re Next will have its North American premiere at Beyond Fest in Los Angeles on October 6.

The English-language voice cast features returning series dub stars including Justin Briner as Deku, Clifford Chapin as Dynamight, David Matranga as Shoto and Christopher Sabat as both All Might and the new foe, Dark Might. The movie also introduces all-new original characters Giulio Gandini, voiced in the dub by Mauricio Ortiz-Segura, and Anna Scervino, played by Kayli Mills.
