Hulu announced today that it will premiere the sixth and final season of the hit adult animation series Solar Opposites this fall. The premiere date for the galactic grand finale will be announced later this year.
S6 Synopsis: When the Solar Opposites family goes broke, they must learn to survive on Earth without any of their sci-fi devices or the massive amounts of video games, snacks and luxury watches they’re used to.
Witness the wild chaos of this unhinged alien family as they get into hilarious mischief, all while the final chapter of an epic drama unfolds for the shrunken people they’ve imprisoned in their Wall. As the Solar Opposites navigate their unforgettable farewell, expect laugh-out-loud surprises at every turn.
Guest stars for the finale season include Tiffany Haddish, Kieran Culkin, Christina Hendricks, Ken Marino, Alfred Molina, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Beck Bennett.
The series centers on a team of four aliens who are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Dan Stevens) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only see the pollution, crass consumerism and human frailty, while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love TV, junk food and fun stuff.
Solar Opposites is executive produced by Mike McMahan, Josh Bycel and Sydney Ryan. The series is produced by 20th Television Animation.
All five seasons of the series, as well as a Christmas special, two Halloween specials and a Valentine’s Day special, are available to stream on Hulu.
