Feel the Noise Wins In Toon With Tweens Contest

Young animators Jeff Young-Sterling and Ai Rei Dooh Tousignant have won first place in the In Toon With Tweens contest sponsored by Portfolio Entertainment and Toon Boom Animation.

The pair won for their entry Feel the Noise, which was chosen the winner by a panel of industry decision makers in children’s programming for its strong visuals and accompanying interactive activities.

The second-place prize was presented to Glen Wyand for The Weird Files.

Young-Sterling and Tousignant received a $7,500 two-year option and development agreement with Portfolio Entertainment, Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium software and Toon Boom’s Enterprise Solution including Harmony and Storyboard Pro for one year.

Wyand received a $2,500, one-year option and development agreement with Portfolio Entertainment, Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium Software plus the use of Toon Boom’s Enterprise Solution for six months.

Both winners receive support from a Toon Boom Expert.

Judges were: Carole Bonneau (Teletoon Canada), Marc Buhaj (Disney Channels EMEA), Rick Clodfelter (Cartoon Network), Jocelyn Hamilton (Corus Entertainment), Linda Simensky (PBS Kids), Andra Sheffer (Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund) and Shari Cohen (Ontario Media Development Corp.).
