Breakthrough Entertainment’s adult animated comedy Producing Parker is now available on Hulu and Hulu Plus in the U.S.
Winner of the 2013 Canadian Screen Award for ‘Best Animated Program or Series,’ Producing Parker is an edgy 2D animated send-up of daytime talk shows following the outrageous adventures of overworked and underpaid producer Parker and her quirky crew.
Each episode reveals the wildly hilarious and outrageous behind-the-scenes antics of The Dee Show a daytime talk show that sells viewers the myth of “having it all.” The series’ colorful cast of characters includes Dee, the self-absorbed, high maintenance host; Simon, an aspiring field reporter slumming it in daytime TV; and Chicago Hyatt, the sexy, unqualified intern.
Taking a satiric spin on living the dream, Producing Parker gives viewers an entertaining fantastical glimpse behind the scenes of TV that live-action formats can’t provide. The series features the voice talents of Kim Cattrall, Kristin Booth, Aaron Abrams and Peter Keleghan. Created by Kevin Gillis and produced by Gillis, Laura Kosterski and Carolyn Newman, the toon originally debuted in May of 2009 on Canada’s TVTropolis.
“Producing Parker is a smart and sharp-as-a-knife parody with memorable and unique characters devised by Canada’s best comedic talent,” said Nat Abraham, president of distribution for Breakthrough Entertainment. “We’re committed to pushing the boundaries of what ‘grown-up’ animation can accomplish and look forward to introducing Producing Parker into the U.S. by working with Hulu.”

They need to bring this show back. It was really entertaining and (despite watching it online) I miss it, and want to see more seasons!
