Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming latest entry into the DC Universe Animated Original Movies canon, Justice League: War, is just weeks away from its bi-coastal premieres (The Paley Center for Media in NYC on Jan. 21 and in L.A. Jan. 30) and its Blu-ray, DVD and Digital launch (Feb. 4), but fans can check out an advance slice of the action awaiting them in the new 2D animated project from director Jay Oliva and scripter Heath Corson. The new clip shows Batman (Jason O’Mara) and Green Lantern (Justin Kirk) meeting for the first time while tackling a both a renegade parademon and the local police.
Based on Geoff Johns and Jim Lee’s Justice League: Origin graphic novel, JL: War kicks off when Darkseid (Steven Blum) and his massive forces invade Earth, forcing a group of previously unaligned, misunderstood super heroes to combine their skills and work as a team. Batman, Superman (Alan Tudyk), Wonder Woman (Michelle Monaghan), Green Lantern, Flash (Christopher Gorham), Shazam (Sean Astin) and, in his origin story, Cyborg (Shemar Moore), unite for an all-out battle to save the planet.
