Music star Elton John’s Rocket Pictures, the company behind the 2011 hit Gnomeo & Juliet, plans to turn the stage musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat into an animated feature.
The first produced musical written by stage legends Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, the project will be a collaboration between Rocket and Lloyd Webbers’ Really Useful Group.
John, Lloyd Webber and Rice will all serve as exec producers on the project, while Rocket CEO Steve Hamilton Shaw and David Furnish are producing.
