Comedy Central has ordered a pilot for an animated series based on the popular Twitter feed @DadBoner.
Deadline.com reports the pilot will be written by comic Mike Burns, creator of the feed and writer of a book based on it, along with Tim Long.
The feed is about a fictional middle-age man from Michigan named Karl Welzein, who shares his distinct point of view on living life in middle America with a lot of booze, burgers and patriotism.
Burns and Long will serve as executive produce with Avalon’s Kara Baker, Jon Thoday, Richard Allen-Turner and David Martin. Dan Lubetkin is a co-executive producer.
