Disney Junior Slates ‘Mickey and the Roadster Racers’ for 2017

A brand new preschool adventure series starring old school characters is revving up production as Disney Junior announces it will debut Mickey and the Roadster Racers in 2017. Starring Mickey Mouse and his pals Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy and Donald, the madcap auto racing concept takes the gang and their uniquely personalized vehicles on humorous, high-spirited races aroudn the globe — plus hometown capers in Hot Dog Hills.

Geared towards kids ages two to seven, the stories are designed to impart social and emotional lessons about friendship, teamwork and good sportsmanship. Roadster Racers will be produced using a combination of CG animation and live-action footage, and is put together by veteran Disney Junior hitmakers behind Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Micky Mouse Clubhouse. Rob LaDuca is executive producer, Mark Seidenberg is co-executive producer and supervising story editor, and Thomas Hart is story editor. The series is a production of Disney Television Animation.
