Shout! Factory Kids will be releasing a fine, feathered family adventure this summer as Quackerz takes flight on Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack (BD 3D and 2D, DVD and digital), iTunes and VOD platforms on June 14, hot on the webbed heels of the movie’s Los Angeles theatrical release in select cinemas on Friday, June 4. The CG animated movie is a production of Rome Animation & Film Studio and A-VFX Studio.
Quackerz is a colorful comedy-adventure which begins when the island of the Mandarin Ducks is mistakenly invaded by the Military Mallards, sparking conflict between the Mandarin Emperor and the Mallard Commander. In the midst of the fighting, the Emperor’s son Longway and the Commander’s daughter Erica become friends — which is good news, because with the wicked Ms. Knout “con-duck-ting” a scheme to destroy the sun, the kids will have to get all their ducks in a row to stop her.
The voice cast features Robbie Daymond, Michael Gross, Enn Reitel, Andrea Becker, Alanna Ubach, Bruce Nozick, Jesse Corti and Jimmie Wood. Quackerz is directed by Victor Lakisov and executive produced by Vsevolod Zorin, Ruben Atoyan, Oksana Brovchenko and Cai Jin.
The two-disc Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack and single-disc DVD releases both include behind-the-scenes footage and animatics features.
