‘Super Wings’ Taxis for Take-Off on KiKA

International preschool hit Super Wings (52 x 11) is heading to Germany with a premiere set for kids’ channel KiKA on January 25, 2017. The show will air daily, Monday to Sunday with back-to-back episodes kicking off at 6:15 p.m. The aviation adventure series is co-produced by South Korea’s FunnyFlux, EBS and CJ E&M; US-based Little Airplane Prod.; China’s QianQi Animation; and KiKA.

The property’s licensing program is also taking shape in Germany. Master toy partner Alpha’s toy line is already enjoying success in European markets, including Italy through Giochi Preziosi. In German-speaking territories, the line will be distributed, marketed and promoted by Giochi Preziosi Germany in strategic alliance with Stadlbauer Marketing + Vertrieb GmbH, which has responsibility for sales. Super Wings playthings will be presented at International Toy Fair in Nuremberg with a retail launch set for March.

m4e AG, responsible for L&M in German-speaking territories, has lined up regional licensees for Super Wings including Clementoni (puzzles & games), Amijoc/Beluga (beach & outdoor toys), Procos (party goods) and Famous (plush).

Since premiering on EBS in 2014, the series has sold to more than 40 countries, including the US where the toy line launched in April. The brand is especially popular in China, France, Spain and Italy.
