Cartoon Network has forged a path of victory across platforms with its adventure-comedy property Mighty Magiswords, leading to an order for a second season and the launch of a new mobile game, Surely You Quest (available Feb. 16). Created by animator Kyle A. Carozza (The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water), the 2D series is produced by Cartoon Network Studios.
Mighty Magiswords follows the adventures of sibling “Warriors for Hire” Prohyas and Vambre as they wield outrageously funny weapons called Magiswords on their quests. Season two will find the duo embarking on more epic adventures and even more hilarious quests in pursuit of the latest and greatest Magiswords to add to their collections.
The immersive MagiMobile app empowers fans to collect swords like the Warriors, and the newest mobile game further heightens the interactivity of the Mighty Magiswords world by connecting to the app and allowing users to use their collections in active gameplay while also gathering and upgrading more Magiswords via the automatic content recognition cues in Mighty Magiswords programming.
Surely You Quest is an idle RPG which will be available through iTunes, Google Play and Amazon (for free!). Players can use their previously earned swords and access more battle options the more they watch and engage with MagiMobile. The new game is the latest addition to the property’s connected world of more than 400 pieces of original content — including interactive shorts, narrative vlogs by the Warriors, games and app.
Mighty Magiswords premiered in September 2016 as the No. 1 animated series to launch in Q4 with kids 6-11 and all key boys demos, and also ranked as CN’s top show in October. Following the November launch of MagiMobile, the show has ranked as a Top 3 Cartoon Network original on VOD, with the app reaching the Top 5 overall on iTunes with 2 million downloads and 20 million swords collected.
New TV episodes air Fridays on Cartoon Network and are available on the Cartoon Network App.
