The KLIK Amsterdam Animation Festival has opened its call for entries to professional filmmakers and students worldwide for its 10th edition, taking place October 17 to 22 at EYE Filmmuseum in the Dutch capital. The event celebrates animation of all sorts, from feature and short films to commercials, video games and installations.
KLIK is accepting entries for the competition categories of Animated Short, Animated Student Short, Commissioned Animation, Animated Documentary, Animated Music Video and Animated Virtual Reality, as well as the out of competition program. Selections for the Animated Short and Animated Student Short are eligible for the festival’s Audience Award and KLIK Young Amsterdam Audience Award.
There is no entry fee for the competitions, and each filmmaker may submit up to three separate films. Eligible works must contain a substantial amount of animation of any technique, not exceed 25 minutes’ duration, have been completed after January 1 of 2016, and not been submitted to previous KLIK competitions.
Complete online entry forms and a mailed copy of the film must be received before June 1, 2017 for consideration. Entry form and regulations available at www.klik.amsterdam.
