Guru’s ‘True and the Rainbow Kingdom’ S4 Wish Comes True on Netflix

Toronto-based kids’ entertainment powerhouse Guru Studio announced that Netflix has committed to streaming a fourth season of hit original preschool series True and the Rainbow Kingdom, which will feature a robust lineup of content including new episodes, seasonal specials, a 44-minute movie, comedic shorts and musical content rolling out throughout 2019 and 2020.

With Season 3 already in production, the new season commitment comes on the heels of this summer’s successful launch of Season 2 titles True: Magical Friends and True: Wonderful Wishes, and the spring launch of music video compilation Dance & Sing with True, Vol. 1.

“We love working with the dynamic and innovative content and marketing teams at Netflix. They’ve been an incredible brand partner on True,” said Frank Falcone, President and Executive Creative Director at Guru Studio. “We’re positive that our growing fan base of preschoolers and parents are going to love what we have in store for True!”

The first line of collectible True toys launches this month at 400 Walmart stores across Canada, and Halloween costumes are already available at Party City and other online retailers. Guru also recently inked plush partner Aurora World and a host of other licensees, including Palamon (costumes), American Marketing Enterprises (sleepwear), GBG Socks (hosiery), Chouette (master publishing) and Bendon Inc. (coloring books and art sets). The lines will be available at retail in North America beginning Fall 2018 and will begin to expand globally in 2019.

Produced by Guru Studio in collaboration with Pharrell Williams’ i am OTHER, artist collective FriendsWithYou, and Home Plate Ent., True and the Rainbow Kingdom is a Netflix Original series starring a compassionate young hero named True and her best friend Bartleby the cat, as they come to the rescue of the Rainbow Kingdom’s whimsical citizens by unleashing the power of the Magical Wishes from the Wishing Tree to help set things right and keep everyone safe. True and Bartleby’s adventures empower girls and boys to be mindful, courageous and respectful of all living things.
