Italy’s VIEW Conference has added a new panel focusing on Aardman Animations’ stop-motion animated special Robin Robin, which premieres on Netflix on Nov 24. Robin Robin is an animated musical starring Gillian Anderson, Richard E Grant, Bronte Carmichael and Adeel Akhtar. In the film, a young robin is adopted and raised by a family of mouse burglars. Growing up, she plans a spectacular heist to prove her worth, only to find herself on an uplifting journey of self-discovery. Over the course of Robin Robin’s 30 minutes, audiences will meet a new collection of charming animal characters, which exchange Aardman’s trademark Plasticine style for a whimsical, handcrafted needle felting aesthetic.
The Robin Robin panel at VIEW Conference 2021 brings together writers/directors Dan Ojari and Mikey Please, alongside executive producer Sarah Cox and Aardman co-founder Peter Lord. During a highly animated conversation, the team will discuss their creative journey and share secrets about the innovative techniques they used to bring the vibrant musical world of Robin Robin to life.

VIEW Conference 2021, the 22nd edition of Italy’s premiere animation, VFX and computer graphics conference, takes place from October 17 to 22, in the beautiful city of Torino, Italy, where industry professionals, students and enthusiasts are invited to enjoy an inspiring week of talks, presentations, and workshops. In addition, online access opens up this year’s event to a global audience.
