Prior to its debut in 2023, the quirky new animation series Grimsburg, starring and executive-produced by Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, gains a major vote of confidence from Fox with an early Season Two green-light.

Equally important, everything we’re seeing with Grimsburg – from the very first scripts and show bible to animatics and preliminary cuts – makes us believe we have a winner on our hands that beautifully complements our animation brand.”
Delivered by FOX’s Emmy-winning animation studio, Bento Box Entertainment, Grimsburg centers around the intriguing character of Marvin Flute (Hamm), the “greatest detective ever to catch a cannibal clown and correctly identify a mid-century modern armoire.” However, the greatest unsolved mystery for Flute is the one case that remains stubbornly elusive — himself.
To unravel this existential conundrum, the private eye heads home to Grimsburg, a city mired in myriad secrets where Flute attempts to redeem himself with his colleagues, an angry ex-wife, and his strange unpredictable son.
Grimsburg arrives in 2023 and lands with the ranks of FOX Entertainment’s new animated comedy, Krapopolis, whose longevity was just extended with recent news of a second season.
Catlan McClelland and Matthew Schlissel created Grimsburg and will act as co-executive producers with showrunner Chadd Gindin. Jon Hamm is onboard as executive producer in partnership with Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady of The Jackal Group and Connie Tavel.
