The French Institute Alliance Française has just unveiled the artwork for the exclusive poster designed by Peter de Sève for the 7th edition of the Animation First Festival. FIAF will present the expanded six-day festival from Tuesday, January 23 through Sunday, January 28 in New York.

A limited edition of 200 total posters have been printed, 50 of which have been signed by the artist himself and are available at Posteritati. During the festival, the artist will be on hand to sign posters at FIAF while supplies last.

De Sève’s work spans four decades and various media, including magazines, books, television commercials, Broadway posters, and character designs. He’s best recognized for his New Yorker Magazine covers and his character designs for the Ice Age animated franchise.

This year’s Animation First festival presents seven feature-length films (including three U.S. and three New York premieres), six short film programs, a “First Look” presentation, filmmaker talks, the annual Student Short Film Competition, program additions including a juried competition of New Francophone shorts, and a special spotlight on Québécois animated cinema.

More information is available at fiaf.org.
