Film London Presents U.K. Animation Tax Credit Webinar July 22

Following a delay due to the United Kingdom election, Film London is re-mounting its special webinar on advantages to animation production in the country: “Animating the U.K.’s Tax Incentives.” The panel discussion will be held Monday, July 22 at 9 a.m. PT / noon ET / 17h BST / 18h CET via Zoom.

Earlier this year, the U.K. government introduced a more generous package of tax credits for film, television and video game production in the country.

“The U.K.’s new Independent Film Tax Credit and the AVEC [Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit] have increased interest and opportunities for working and co-producing with London’s animation studios and producers,” said Film London Animation Consultant Julian Scott, who is spearheading the livestream discussion. “I will discuss the U.K.’s new incentives with experts on how to achieve British Film Certification, the legal and financial aspects of the system, and how London could be the best place to animate a story.”

Joining Scott are Adrian Wootton OBE, CEO of Film London and the British Film Commission; Steve Joberns, Principal at Shipleys LLP; and Anna Mansi, Director of Video Games & Certification at the BFI.

Registration for the webinar is now open, sign up here.
