It’s a big day for Disney fans at the DVD stores today as the Mouse House releases a new digitally remastered version of the 1987 feature, Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin. Winnie the Pooh, which gets his official star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today (with Disney CEO Bob Iger, Tigger, Eeyore and Rabbit, as well as honorary Hollywood mayor Johnny Grant attending the ceremony) is involved in a little understanding with his best pal Christopher Robin in this charming outing. A.A. Milne’s lovable character sets out to find Christopher when he doesn’t show up for play.
Directed by Karl Geurs, this colorful 2D feature showcases the voices of Jim Cummings, Brady Bluhm, Paul Winchell and Peter Cullen. The 76-minute movie is offered in widescreen anamorphic format and comes with the bonus short, Wolfgang Reitherman’s Oscar-winning short Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (1968), Set Top Game: Adventures in 100-Acre Wood and Pooh’s Symphony. You can pick up the DVD for $29.99.
