‘Looney Tunes Show’ Season 2 Premieres Oct. 2

Brace your funny bones for impact: Cartoon Network’s hip “primetime sitcom” update on the classic WB characters The Looney Tunes Show will launch its second season on October 2 at 8/7c p.m. and air new episodes each Tuesday night on the network. The new season begins with the premiere episode “Bobcats on Three,” in which Daffy’s fibs and Bugs’ vices cause all kinds of neighborhood trouble.

Duck-of-all-trades (at least in his delusional inner world) Daffy has one role missing from his resume—coach! When Gossamer and his approach Daffy about coaching their water polo team, Daffy accepts despite knowing nothing about the game, or even how to swim. Daffy learns a valuable lesson about sportsmanship, and the even more valuable lesson that horses don’t belong in the pool.

Meanwhile, Porky launches a catering business, but his healthy food leaves a lot to be desired. At Bugs’ urging, the porcine epicure turns to his grammy’s recipes loaded with butter and sugar. Bugs can’t get enough of the artery clogging comfort food and resorts to throwing parties just to get another taste and expands to epic proportions—it isn’t until he’s needed at the water polo match that he realizes how large he’s become.

The premiere will also feature a new Merrie Melody titled “Laser Beam” featuring Marvin the Martian singing an ‘80s style power ballad lamenting his dear laser’s sudden demise—a heartfelt number that proves even destruction craving aliens have feelings.
