Disney Interactive has released the second video in its behind-the-scenes series “Creating Infinity,” exploring the Disney Infinity interactive gaming device set to hit shelves this August. The new video explains the inspiration behind Infinity’s “Toy Box” mode, and includes interviews with Pixar and Avalanche Software creatives, and commentary from renowned Disney storytellers, with studio leaders like John Lasseter and John Blackburn discussing the value of creative play.
Disney Infinity is an all new game initiative featuring characters from Disney and Pixar’s most popular franchises. Players place real-world toy versions of their favorite characters onto the “Infinity Base” and transport them into virtual game worlds based on Monsters University, The Incredibles, Cars and Pirates of the Caribbean, enabling them to combine characters, worlds, gadgets, vehicles and locations to create one-of-a-kind action and adventure games, sports and racing competitions, team-based and head-to-head challenges and more using the giant virtual Toy Box.
