Malaysian-based 3D animation company Persistence of Vision (POV) has entered into a co-development agreement with Village Prods. to create a CG television show based on POV’s property Tian Ji.
Set in a world dominated by warlords with robotic armies, the Chinese fantasy/adventure revolves around a forbidden knowledge and those sworn to protect it from others who would exploit it for its incredible powers.
POV has also signed an exclusive deal with U.K. games development company Warthog to create computer games and related interactive television content.
Tian Ji was previewed at MIPCOM 2002, where it attracted the interest of international companies.
POV has recently created the virtual host of a 26-episode IT program, which was broadcast on cable TV in Malaysia.
