AOL Offers Exclusive Two Towers Preview

With the Dec. 18 release still months away, fans who can’t wait to get a peek at the second installment in the new Lord of the Rings film trilogy can soon log onto America Online (AOL) and be among the first to view the main theatrical trailer.

On Monday, Sept. 30 at 12:01 a.m., New Line Cinema will go live with an exclusive look at Peter Jackson’s screen adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. AOL users worldwide will then have 24 hours to catch the trailer on the film’s official site by entering AOL Keyword: Lord of the Rings. The trailer will debut in North American theaters on Friday, October 4.

The AOL launch will be accompanied by enriched and upgraded content on www.lordoftherings.net, including exclusive behind-the-scenes production videos, downloads, interviews with the cast and crew and a new interactive map of Middle-earth.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers stars Sean Astin, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Brad Dourif, Bernard Hill, Christopher Lee, Ian McKellen, Dominic Monaghan, Viggo Mortensen, Miranda Otto, John Rhys-Davies, Andy Serkis, Liv Tyler, Hugo Weaving, Karl Urban, David Wenham, and Elijah Wood.
