Bazley Films will direct, animate and produce a section of High Eagle Prods animated film for the BBC, The Cunning Little Vixen.
Bazley, whose team includes former Disney and Warner Bros. artists, was recently founded by Richard Bazley, best known for his supervising work on Warner Bros. The Iron Giant. He was also a supervising animator on Osmosis Jones and Disneys Hercules.
Bazley likens the "loose" drawing style employed in the film to Disney’s The Aristocats and says the backgrounds were inspired by Toulouse Lautrec. The Cunning Little Vixen is based on the novel by Rudolf Tésnohlídek, which also served as the basis for Czechoslovakian Composer Janáceks original libretto of the same title.
Geoff Dunbar of High Eagle has produced and directed award-winning films, most recently Tuesday with Paul McCartney. Vixen will air on BBC2 over the winter holiday.
