MIPCOM 2002 will see the debut of Egmont Imagination’s new pre-school series, Paz. The 52×5 co-production with Discovery Kids U.S. and King Rollo Films is based on the popular Little Penguin books by renowned Irish children’s author Mary Murphy.
Paz tells the story of a little, inquisitive penguin who spends his time drawing, making up stories, snacking on fish sticks and playing with friends Dog, Pig and Rabbit. It will begin airing early 2003 in the U.S. on both TLC and Discovery Kids.
The 2D animated series is currently in production with two completed episodes available for screening at MIPCOM Jr. In addition to having his own five-minute adventures, Paz will also host Discovery Kids’ re-launched "Ready Set Learn!" programming block.
