Production studio Millimages has sold the broadcast rights to four of its new animated properties to ABC (Australian Broadcast Corporation). The deal includes the series Hilltop Hospital, Corneil & Bernie, Pigeon Boy and Jasper the Penguin.
Hilltop Hospital is a 39×10 stop motion animated pre-school medical soap opera about a hospital run by animals, for animals.
Corneil & Bernie and Pigeon Boy are co-productions with France 3. Corneil & Bernie is a 52×13 series about a dog genius whose life is turned upside down when his bumbling dog sitter, Bernie, discovers his true talents. The 26×26 Pigeon Boy follows a stumbling superhero in his efforts to clean up Ultrapolis.
A co-production with Toons’n’Tales, La Cinquième and WDR, the 52×5 pre-school series, Jasper The Penguin, tells the tale of a displaced penguin from the South Pole, who accidentally ends up on an ice cap that takes him to a city far from home.
