Prominent European animation producer/director John Cary has joined Toonz Animation India and its U.S. branch, Toonz USA, as director of European Marketing.
With thirty years of media experience behind him, Cary has pioneered such projects as the Hanna Barbera series The Addams Family and The Return of the Pink Panther, as well as many BBC commercials. He has also worked on The Snowman, the S4C Television series Shakespeare, the Animated Tales and the S4C feature film The Miracle Maker, and is the founder of the British Animation Training Scheme and head of animation at the National Television School.
Cary has worked extensively with studios in Eastern Europe, Spain and India, producing such shows as Spider! for the BBC, Rhinegold for S4C and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for the Really Useful Group. During production for his Indy Award-winning series, The Adventures of Captain Pugwash‚ Cary initiated an innovative method of budgeting, scheduling and cost-tracking, which enabled him to greatly minimize costs and complete shooting ahead of schedule.
Trivandrum-based Toonz is producer of the comedy-adventure television series, The Adventures of Tenali Ramen‚ with sales throughout the world.
