Toronto-based childrens and family entertainment company DECODE Entertainment has launched a new consumer arm to meet the merchandising and licensing demand of its high-profile properties. DECODE Consumer is overseen by company partner Beth Stevenson, and Kym Hyde will be creative director of the new arm.
"Launching DECODE Consumer is a strategic move that has been planned for some time and a natural step in response to the huge licensing interest across our shows," says Stevenson.
Angela Anaconda, Frannys Feet, The Save-Ums! and Radio Free Roscoe are some of DECODE Consumer properties. The division will also oversee DECODEs home video and DVD releases. The Sharpe Company is worldwide licensing agent for both Frannys Feet and The Save-Ums! Frannys Feet won the Pulcinella Award for Best TV Series for Infants at the 2004 Cartoons on the Bay.
