National Geo and Blueprint Pig Out with Iggy Arbuckle

Toronto-based Blueprint Entertainment and National Geographic Kids’ Programming and Production are in hog heaven. They recently announced a production agreement on Iggy Arbuckle, a new animated series about a "nature freak" pig and his loyal sidekick, Jiggers, the daredevil beaver. The 26 X 11 series is scheduled to premiere on Canada’s Teletoon in the fall of 2006.

Iggy Arbuckle was first introduced as a comic strip in National Geographic Kids, the popular U.S. children’s magazine in June 2004. The talented and prolific Guy Vasilovich (Kangaroo Jack G’Day USA!, Moville Mysteries and Hey Arnold! The Animated Feature) is the man behind the hiking, climbing, singing, and thrill-seeking pig.

"We love this property and are excited about joining forces with National Geographic and Teletoon in bringing Iggy and his wild and wonderful world to life as an animated children’s series," says John Morayniss, co-president of Blueprint Entertainment.

"Iggy Arbuckle is a wildly imaginative series that will appeal to kids’ sense of humor and adventure," says Donna Friedman Meir, president of kids’ programming and production at National Geo TV & Film. For more info visit www.nationalgeographic.com or www.blueprint-corp.com.
