The entertainment design and technology magazine has announced a call for entries to the first annual Global Student Animation Awards.
Students of the trade have a chance to enter their most outstanding work for consideration in three categories: Animation, Visual Effects and Motion Design. Winners from each category will have a job interview set up with a company of their choice, and Stash will put down up to $1,00 toward getting the students to their meetings with potential employers. The prize packages also include a personally engraved Apple G5 Dual Processor with 20" Apple Monitor, the latest versions of Maya, boujou, combustion, Adobe products and subscriptions to Stash DVD Magazine. This is a great opportunity to get your work out there, as projects from15 finalists will be featured in Stash, which is delivered to over a thousand of the industrys biggest players each month. And for the top dog? One finalist will be selected as the Best of 2005 and their project will adorn the cover of Stash talk about a resume booster.
The logistics: All entries must be received by June 1, 2005. Finalists and category winners will be announced August 7, 2005, and the September issue of Stash will reveal the Best of 2005 Winner.
