Disney has begun streaming for free full-length feature films for one week following their airing on ABC’s Wonderful World of Disney program.The program debuted this week with Finding Nemo, with a mix of live-action and animated films including Monsters, Inc. and Peter Pan set to air later this summer.
Films air with advertising, which right now consists of a short pre-film ad and contextual ads on the site around the viewing area.The move marks a significant shift for Disney’s handling of features, which have been available for rent or purchase online at iTunes. Disney has already been streaming its TV content.
