Children’s entertainment company 4Kids Ent. has announced its new lineup of programs for The CW4Kids, its five-hour program block airing Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. to noon on The CW television network. Starting Jan. 3, 2009, the lineup will include the hit action shows Chaotic: M’arrillian Invasion and Sonic X. Both are migrating from FOX, which is dropping its 4Kids TV block in favor of informercials. Also premiering on that date are Huntik, a new series about a group of ‘seekers’ traveling around the world in search of an ancient amulet with the power to control monsters, and the live-action Japanese import Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight.
Programming from 4Kids will also be available via a new video streaming portal at 4KidsTV.com. The major initiative will host many of the shows currently seen on 4Kids TV, which will have its final broadcast on FOX the weekend of Dec. 27. The web outlet will also offer free streaming of series from The CW4Kids lineup, as well as exclusive content that can’t be seen anywhere else.
