ATF Looks to ‘Rise with Asia’

The 10th anniversary edition of Asia Television Forum is taking on the theme ‘Rise with Asia,’ and looking to reflect the region’s growing importance in financing, production, sourcing and marketing content.

The three-day event, set for Dec. 2-4 in Singapore, has evolved into a must-attend market that will draw participation from more than 700 companies representing 50 countries. This year’s event has drawn new sellers such as Discovery, HBO and Turner, which join returning exhibitors such as CBS Studios and Lionsgate.

‘Asia Television Forum 2009 will provide a vibrant and content rich environment for networking, discussion and business which will sharpen the focus on the opportunities which exist in the Asia Pacific region,’ says Michelle Lim, general manager of Reed Exhibitions.

The event will include a day devoted to branded formats, with a keynote speech from Rob Clark, global head of entertainment for FremantleMedia. Other topics set for discussion include cross-platform distribution, new opportunities for music content and monetizing content via digital channels.
