September is Animation Takeover month at web-based independent filmmaker networking hub Shooting People, and in honor of the occasion animation luminary Matt Groening (The Simpsons, Futurama) will be judging the site’s Film of the Month contest.
Starting September 1, filmmakers are invited to upload their most impressive animations and get fellow members to watch and vote for you. Groening will be viewing and commenting on submitted work, giving animators a unique chance to receive feedback from the celebrated show creator.
Upload your film at shootingpeople.org/watchfilm/home to enter. At the end of the month, the top three films will be sent to Groening for approval and winning decisions. Non-animated shorts are also welcome, but you must be a Shooting People member to enter.
