If you’re a Pixar fan and you admire the poster art of Tom Whalen, we’ve got some terrific pre-Labor Day weekend news for you. Mondo, the Alamo Drafthouse’s collective art boutique, has announced that it will kick off a new poster series for Pixar, beginning with Whalen’s special print for Monsters, Inc.. In the past, Mondo has produced special posters for featured Alamo Drafthouse events, and recently inaugurated a Director’s Series that focuses on a celebrated filmmaker’s body of work. Mondo is also doing a new poster tribute series for Jurassic Park.
The inaugural Monsters, Inc, poster is designed by Whalen and measures 18” x 24” and is priced at $45. It’s a limited edition of 365, so you should be ready to order the print on September 2, when details are announced @mondoNews.
