Comedy Central Orders Two New Animated Shows

Comedy Central, home of South Park and Futurama is expanding its animated programming by ordering two new shows. First up, the cabler has ordered a show created by Yoni Brenner (Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs) called Gajillionaires about two sickeningly rich brothers Ben and George Krabbe and their crazy world of big business. As the show is described in The Hollywood Reporter, “Bailouts, corrupt senators, sycophantic cronies like Chef Boyardee and Dick Cheney and an undying love for Tipper Gore are all along for the ride.”

Gajillionaires is exec produced by Bento Box’s Joel Kuwahara, Scott Greenberg and Mark McJimsey and Principato-Young Ent.’s Tucker Voorhees.

Also on tap is Grubstein & Grubstein, an animated comedy created and co-executive produced by Arthur Jones and Karl Ackerman about two 20something brothers in Brooklyn who inherit a brownstone building inhabited by freaks and geeks.
