More Stars Join DreamWorks ‘Turbo’ Charge

It looks like DreamWorks Animation’s summer 2013 movie Turbo is attracting a very long list of star voices. The Hollywood Reporter says Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg and Samuel L. Jackson are now all part of the voice cast of the July 13 release.

The movie follows an average garden snail (Reynolds) who becomes obsessed with speeding and eventually signs up for the Indianapolis 500. It’s written and directed by DreamWorks animation veteran David Soren, who directed the TV Christmas special, Merry Madagascar. Soren is co-writing the script with Robert Siegel (The Wrestler) and Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever After). Lisa Stewart is producing with Susan Rogers serving as co- producer.

  1. Is it just me or does that poster look like such a student short film type of poster?

Also, why is there a reflection on the ground if that’s supposed to be asphalt?
