In Superman vs. The Elite, the Man of Steel’s crime-fighting abilities are called into question when a new league of super-powered crusaders arrives on the scene, known as The Elite. The new heroes will stop at nothing, even killing on a mass scale, to stop villainy, putting them in confrontation with the ever ethical, less kill-y Superman. George Newbern reprises his Justice League role as Superman and Pauley Perrette (NCIS) plays Lois Lane. Robin Atkin Downes (Regular Show, The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes) arrives as Manchester Black, leader of The Elite, and David Kaufman (Justice League) returns as Jimmy Olsen. The film is directed by Michael Chang (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) with Bruce Timm exec producing and Alan Burnett as producer.

The PG-13 rated film is scripted by comic writer Joe Kelly and is adapted from his 2001 DC Comics single-issue release What’s So Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?—which ranked No. 21 on Wizard Magazine’s Top 100 Comics of the Last 30 Years list.
