L.A.’s fifth annual 3D Entertainment Summit will feature extensive footage from Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania and feature 3D filmed segments showcasing DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and this year’s recipients of the 3D Visionary Award James Cameron. Katzenberg will address the state of the 3D industry in 2012 and the road ahead. Hotel Transylvania’s 3D stereographic lead Von Williams will also be introducing the film at the event. The Summit will take place Sept 19-20 at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

Additional content at the 2012 3D Entertainment Summit will include a presentation of the upcoming Australian shot film Storm Surfers 3D, with a special intro from producers Marcus Gillezeau and Ellenor Cox; A showcase of 3D footage from around the world titled Your World in 3D, offered by The Intl. 3D Society, and Stereoscopic, a live, immersive 3D multimedia musical performance the first of its kind with Saint Motel, produced by Creative Agency World War Seven.
