Nickelodeon has ordered a 20-episode second season of the animated comedy series Sanjay and Craig.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series’ second season will begin airing sometime in 2014.
Featuring the voices of Maulik Pancholy and Chris Hardwick, the renewal comes just prior to the Sept. 14 premiere of the first season’s final eight episodes, airing after a two month break.
The series debuted in May to strong ratings and has been Nick’s best-performing new show with an average of 3 million viewers per episode.
Created by Jim Dirschberger, Jay Howell and Andreas Trolf, Sanjay and Craig follows the misadventures a 12-year-old boy, and his best friend, a smooth-talking snake and master of disguise. Linda Cardellini, Matt Jones, Tony Hale, Grey DeLisle and Sandy Dickson also provide voices.
