WIA and Disney Offer Special ‘Frozen’ Program

The recently relaunched Women in Animation has joined forces with Disney Animation Studios to offer a special program titled “Frozen: An Evening with the Filmmakers” this Tuesday, held at the Main Theater on the Disney Lot. A preshow mixer will kick the event off at 5:30 p.m., followed by a panel at 7 p.m.

Moderated by Walt Disney Animation Studio’s head of creative affairs Maggie Malone and featuring the movie’s filmmakers, including director Jennifer Lee; assistant art director Lisa Keene; animation supe Becky Bresee; look supervisor Michelle Robinson, production supervisor Jessica Julius; associate producer Aimee Scribner; and visual development artist Brittney Lee.

“Frozen: An Evening with the Filmmakers” is open to WIA members and non-members who would like to attend may join the organization at womeninanimation.org to receive an invitation. This event marks the first of several WIA events scheduled this year.

Founded in 1994, Women in Animation (WIA) is a non-profit professional organization that brings together a global community of animation professionals to empower and support women in the art, science and business of animation by increasing access to resources, creating opportunities for education and encouraging strong connections between individuals.
