24-hour preschool network Sprout has acquired its newest animated series Earth to Luna! from Brazilian toon house TV PinGuim. The science-based series will air exclusively in the U.S. on Sprout and will premiere August 16, 2014.
Earth to Luna! follows the adventures of a 6-year-old girl named Luna who is completely passionate about science. For her, the Earth is a giant laboratory and she dives into every new experience with boundless enthusiasm along with her little brother Jupiter and pet ferret Clive. There is nothing Luna won’t do to find the answers to her scientific questions.
Its a fantastic show but I find the language difference between English and the shows original language is very noticeable when the character speaks… like a bad Chinese to English movie. For instance when Luna is making the hard E sound her mouth is making a long O motion.
Other than that it’s wonderful! My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves the show. It’s one of her new favorites! (Caillou, Lily’s Driftwood Bay, The Pajanimals and Sarah & Duck [all on The Goodnight Show] being her top favorites)
