Studio 100 and app developer/publisher BulkyPix have announced the release of Maya the Bee: The Ant’s Quest on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android. Priced at £1.99 (approx. $3.30 US), the game targets fans of the revamped CGI series based on the classic Maya the Bee brand. The design of the app is consistent with the vibrant look of the series and the app developers prioritized user-friendliness and parental safety features.
In The Ant’s Quest, players discover the world of Maya the Bee while they help the Ant Queen fight off a virus infecting her ant hill, recruit new ants and overcome the mean wasps. The overall storyline is packed with obstacles to overcome and puzzles to solve.
Sold to over 160 countries since its 2012 launch, Maya the Bee‘s latest, CG-animated incarnation has also inspired a big screen theatrical feature due out later this year.
