Sony Pictures Animation is making an all-animated Smurfs feature film, and now director Kelly Asbury (Shrek 2, Gnomeo & Juliet) is offering a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film with a new production blog called “The Blue Print,” located at www.SmurfsProductionBlog.com.
The first post features concept art of the Smurfs Village, revealing a look very close to cartoonist Peyo’s original comic book creation. The blog will be updated frequently.
The as-yet untitled Smurfs movie is set for release Aug. 14, 2015.
