20th Century Fox Television executive Grant Gish has been promoted to Vice President of Animation at the studio. The title is awarded after years of dedication to Fox’s animation slate, helping guide shows like Bob’s Burgers and American Dad to ratings success for the network. In his new position, Gish will report to President of Creative Affairs Jonnie Davis.
Gish is currently involved in upcoming Fox animated series Bordertown, created by Mark Hentemann and Seth MacFarlane and starring Hank Azaria. He is also developing projects with LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Phil Johnston and Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph) and Ryan Reynolds.
The savvy suit jumped on the TV ladder in NBC’s Page Program, which lead to a job in comedy development at the network. He joined Fox from Good Humor TV, where he worked on The Life & Times of Tim for HBO and helped develop the pilot for Good Vibes (MTV).

I wonder if 20th Century Fox Animation plans on another animated incarnation of The Planet of the Apes, using Joe Ruby and Ken Spears’ leftover designs, done by the late Jack Kirby? If so, why not produce the next animated Planet of the Apes TV series for Disney XD!!!
The Life & Times of Tim and Good Vibes were both sub-par shows on HBO & MTV and, with the exception of Bob’s Burgers, American Dad is played out. Not much of a resume so how did he get promoted? Bordertown by MacFarlene will just be an extension of his liberal far left agenda. I plan on missing it.
