Roots Offers NFB 75th Anniversary Collection

Canadian apparel and lifestyle brand Roots has partnered with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) to celebrate 75 years of Oscar-winning public film production by creating a limited edition collection featuring the nation’s most beloved animation classics, as well as the NFB’s iconic logo. Now you can literally wear your love for independent Canuck animation on your sleeve!

The collection features four T-shirts, two retro style longsleeve tees and two retro hoodies, launching September 4 on the Roots website in Canada and the U.S. and in select Canadian stores. The T-shirts feature images from two of NFB’s most popular animations: Sheldon Cohen’s multi-award winning ode to hockey The Sweater (1980) and Oscar winner John Weldon’s folksy, music-driven Log Driver’s Waltz (1979); available in two styles per film.

The longsleeves and hoodies sport NFB’s iconic “Man seeing / l’homme qui voit” logo designed in 1969 by Georges Beaupré. Items from the collection are priced from $44-$98.
