Having conquered the big screen, filmmaker Tyler Perry and his most famous creation, Madea, have come to animation.
Perry’s first foray into family animation, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Tough Love, arrives today on DVD and On Demand from Lionsgate.

The movie features the voice talent of Perry, Cassi Davis, Rolonda Watts, Avery Kidd Waddell, William “Bootsy” Collins and Cree Summer. Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Tough Love is based on “Madea” created by Perry, from a story by Ben Chambers, screenplay by Matt Fleckenstein, supervising director is Frank Marino and produced for Tyler Perry Studios by Tyler Perry, Ozzie Areu and Matt Moore.
This is a great opportunity and time to intruduce more Black animations to the world. But, it needs to be other Black cartoons and animations that will be of serious nature ad well. HIP HOP CATZ & THE K-9 CREW can be that animation, with its HIP HOP EDU-TAINMENT show.
This is a old style animation. He could have come with more of an animation that this new generation can relate to.
