Global Screen Sets Course for ‘Noah’

German sales company Global Screen has inked deals with distributors around the world for the CG animated family adventure Ooops! Noah Is Gone… ahead of the European Film Market. Entertainment One has picked up rights for the U.S., Canada, U.K./Ireland and Australia/New Zealand. Eagle Pictures will tackle Italy, with Scanbox handling Scandinavian countries. Flame Node (China), 2i Film (former Yugoslavia), Pictureworks (India) and Silverbird (African territories) round out the key sales.

Over 2014, Noah Is Gone was also picked up by Barnhill Group (Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), Smile Ent. (S. Korea), Kino Swiat (Poland), Pris (Portugal), Five Stars (Israel), Swen (LatAm), Gulf (Middle East), Medyavizyon (Turkey), Art Eternal (Bulgaria), Century 21 (Iran) and Onevision Ent. (Indonesia). Senator Filmverleih will be releasing the film as Ooops! Die Arche Ist Weg… in Germany this summer.

Ooops! Noah Is Gone… reimagines the timeless story of Noah’s Ark from the point of view of the unlucky critters on the wrong side of evolution. A pair of strange land–dwelling creatures, Dave and his son Finny, make it to the Ark with the help of Grymp and her daughter Leah, but when the kids are accidentally tossed overboard, it kicks off an amazing adventure in which Finny will discover something about himself that will save his father and his new friend.

The film is produced by Ulysses Filmproduktion (Niko) and Moetion Films, in co-production with Fabrique d’Images, Grid Animation, supported byFilmfund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, DFFF, FFA, Filmfund Luxembourg, Screenflanders, The Irish Film Board, MEDIA i2i audiovisual and MEDIA development. It is directed by Toby Genkel and Sean McCormack.
