Two titans of independent animation — Bill Plympton and Jim Lujan — are teaming up for the feature film Revengeance, for which the duo is raising funds on Kickstarter.
The filmmakers are seeking to raise $80,000 toward production of the movie, which they expect to release later this year. As of May 5, more than $36,000 has been pledged with the campaign slated to run through May 21.

Revengeance is directed, animated, and produced by Bill Plympton; written, designed, voiced, and scored by Jim Lujan; and executive produced by Adam Rackoff and Matthew Modine. The voice cast includes Dave Foley, Kristina Wong, Lalo Alcaraz, Ken Mora, Modine and Lujan.

The sad fact is, even animators who “make a living” outside the studio system have to raise funds in order to continue to do so. Thankfully, there are folks who enjoy supporting good art.
